Message to Pittsburgh Campus Faculty about in-person classes beginning September 13
Provost Ann E. Cudd updates faculty members and instructors about plans for September 13 when all classes will meet in person, unless permission for remote or hybrid delivery has been approved by your dean.
CMRO Update
There was an increase in reports of vaccination over the past week. Across all campuses, 82% of the Pitt community has now uploaded proof of vaccination against COVID-19.
CMRO update: Vaccination data and testing
During the past week, we have seen a 10% increase in the number of Pitt affiliates who have uploaded proof of vaccination.
Message to Pittsburgh Campus Students Regarding the Start of the Fall Semester
"Given that we are still gathering information regarding the vaccination status of students and employees, as well as recent changes in infection rates in our community, we have decided to offer flexibility to both students and instructors by allowing remote access to our courses during the first two weeks of the term," Provost Ann E. Cudd writes.

Face Coverings and Physical Distancing Changes
The University will no longer require face coverings for vaccinated individual outdoors on campus, but face coverings continue to be required indoors for everyone. Physical distancing is no longer required. These changes are effective Monday, June 7, 2021.
Pittsburgh Campus Moving to Guarded Status
The Pittsburgh campus is planning to move from Elevated to Guarded Risk Posture on May 20, based on recommendations of the Emergency Operations Center and the Healthcare Advisory Group.
